About SF Future Forum

The purpose of SFFF is to shape a new vision for The San Francisco Bay Area. We believe the Bay Area holds incredible potential in this moment in time, and we want to contribute to that being realized.

SFFF is set to showcase new ideas to shape the future of our city, on stage in front of an audience of founders, politicians and investors. This private event will showcase pitches, nurtured by our expert committee, targeting mid to long-term impacts to revolutionize the cityscape and foster policy entrepreneurship.

With 300 leaders from tech, politics, and investment, SFFF is the catalyst for a new, optimistic vision for San Francisco, aiming to encourage policy innovation and progress, transforming the Bay Area into a modern-day Florence.

Sondre is the founder and CEO of SafetyWing, a global social safety net, and formerly co-founder of SuperSide, both backed by Y Combinator. Previously he was a policy advisor for the government of Norway and city counselor in his home town Bergen.
He lives in North Beach with his wife and son.

Elisa is a seasoned strategic implementation and program manager with over a decade of experience in business development and creating impact through events, marketing initiatives, and community-building efforts. Specializing in guiding visionaries and fellow entrepreneurs from concept to successful completion, she turns ideas into actionable outcomes. Having previously lived in San Francisco’s Marina and Pacific Heights, she’s excited to leverage her expertise to support the growth of the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Aurora is an entrepreneur, advisor, and angel investor who’s spent her last decade in San Francisco. She’s currently the VP of Operations at Tana.inc. Previously, Aurora served as COO and a board member at Medal.tv, after its acquisition of Megacool, a company she co-founded and led as CEO. Before her venture with Megacool, she was VP of Business and Marketing at Dirtybit, known for developing Fun Run, a popular mobile game played by more than 15% of the US population. Aurora specializes in operations, product development, growth strategies, mentorship, and fundraising.

Lauren Razavi is a technologist, political scientist, and global citizen. The child of a refugee, she was an early adopter of remote work and has lived as a digital nomad since 2013. She is the author of the book Global Natives about the future of work, travel, innovation, and cities.

Emin Israfil is the founder and CEO of Rubbish, a San Francisco-based tech company transforming waste management using data, AI, and delightful user experiences. Having started programming at the age of 10, Emin’s enthusiasm for technology is intrinsically linked with his dedication to environmental sustainability. His extensive experience living and working across five continents has fueled his commitment to addressing global environmental issues, particularly waste management and cleaning up our shared community spaces.

Michael Seiler is the founder and lead impact strategist of Collective Impact, a San Francisco-based full-service impact acceleration consulting firm. His background is in scaling and capacity building in technology and startup acceleration, tech education, DEI, nonprofits, the music industry, and events/festivals. He is passionate about creating big cultural and business-for-good movements to drive needed impact across our world’s most pressing challenges.

Frequenty asked questions

If you’re eager to contribute but don’t have a specific pitch, we still value your participation! We welcome individuals and organizations willing to offer their time, expertise, or resources to support our selected teams. Please contact us at hello@sffutureforum.com with details about your available resources, areas of interest, and how you wish to contribute. We’ll work to match you with a team in need of your skills or support.

We are in search of innovative pitches within five key areas: Sustainability and Environmental Innovation, Economic Development, Community and Social Equity, Technology and Smart City Solutions, and Health and Wellness. Projects should present new solutions or approaches that promise to bring substantial socio-economic benefits to San Francisco and are expected to be actionable within a few years.

From all submissions, we will select 20 pitches to join us at the private event in June 2025, with 10 being featured onstage. Our committee of experts evaluates each pitch based on innovation, potential impact, feasibility, and alignment with our mission and themes. Selected participants will be mentored and guided through the preparation process for the final presentation.

Pitch Submission Deadline: December 1st, 2024

Announcement of Selected Concepts: Mid-January 2025

First Draft Submission Deadline: February 14th, 2025

Final Presentation Due: April 17th, 2025

Private Event Presentation: June 2025

Ensure your submission is in by the deadline to be considered. Late submissions may not be evaluated.

The event is a private gathering with limited attendance, primarily open to selected pitch teams, partners, and invited guests. However, we understand the community interest in being part of this transformative evening. If you wish to attend, please express your interest by completing the RSVP Request Form. While we cannot guarantee an invitation for all inquiries, we will consider each request and extend invitations as space allows.”
